Terms and Conditions

Any order placed with SPELK Studio is subject to the following terms and conditions, which will form the basis of the contract upon acceptance by the company.

Additional terms for trade account holders will be provided upon opening an account, which is available exclusively to trade professionals after the completion of necessary documentation and reference checks. To safeguard trade clients, resale of SPELK Studio products in retail environments, online or on social media platforms is strictly prohibited. Access to trade pricing can be revoked at any time without notice.

Colours and materials

While every effort is made to present products accurately online and in print, slight variations may occur. Measurements provided are approximate, and colour reproduction is as accurate as print and screen constraints allow, but may vary depending on individual screen settings.

Due to the natural characteristics of materials like timber, leather and stone, variations in tone, colour and texture are expected. These are part of the material’s natural story and are not considered defects. Batch variations should also be anticipated.

Clients must approve custom colours, typically through physical samples. Over time, natural discolouration of lacquer finishes may occur, particularly when exposed to UV light. SPELK Studio is not liable for this natural progression.

Care instructions

Avoid using chemical cleaners or bleach on timber products, as this can remove protective oils and cause permanent discolouration. Timber may crack or split due to extreme temperatures, and it is the customer’s responsibility to maintain stable conditions. Natural aging and UV exposure will affect timber colour over time.

Pricing and payment

All prices are listed in GBP and exclude delivery, international taxes, shipping and crating. Prices may change without notice. Made-to-order lead times are provided upon payment and depend on order volume and production capacity. Bespoke or custom orders will have lead times confirmed once details are finalised.

Customers are responsible for checking access details before placing an order, ensuring that furniture will fit through stairwells, doorways and other tight spaces. If delivery fails due to access issues, the customer remains liable for 50% of the order value, along with delivery and redelivery charges. A full access check can be arranged at an additional cost.

Delivery and collection

Delivery costs are calculated based on location and requirements. Deliveries are carried out by third-party shippers, and while SPELK Studio arranges these on behalf of customers, we are not liable for delays or issues caused by external companies. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the delivery site is suitable to receive products. If delivery to an unfinished site is required, prior agreement in writing is necessary, and any damage incurred is at the customer’s risk.

Returns and refunds

Bespoke, customised and made-to-order items are non-refundable and non-returnable. Made-to-order items require a 50% deposit, with the balance due two weeks before the goods are ready for delivery or collection. Late payments may incur interest of 2.5% per month after two weeks of notification. VAT refunds can only be processed within six months for made-to-order goods.

Damage and repair

In the event of damage during transit, SPELK Studio will work with the shipping company to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. If a product is damaged after delivery due to misuse or accidental damage, SPELK Studio may offer repair services at an agreed cost. Repairs by third parties will void the warranty unless explicitly agreed with SPELK Studio.

Intellectual property and regulations

All intellectual property rights related to SPELK Studio products, designs and website content remain the property of SPELK Studio Ltd. Unauthorised use, including copying or storing content, is prohibited without permission. Customers are responsible for ensuring that products comply with local regulations outside of British standards.

In the case of accidental damage in the home, or if the product is damaged through misuse, SPELK Studio may offer repair services at an agreed cost. Contact hello@spelk.studio with relevant images and your original order number for enquiries about repairs.

If a third-party repair is undertaken without prior agreement from SPELK Studio, any warranty on the product will be void.
